The major out of all the pyramids are the Great Pyramid of Giza. It is the oldest as well as the largest pyramid out of other three in the Giza Necropolis that is surrounding what is today renowned as the EI Giza in Egypt. Pyramids have always created mystery in the world. Its origins, existence, and plenty of questions are still rotating around the world and in the minds of most of the individuals.
Out of all, most of the people in this earth are still trying to seek the correct answer to the question – How tall is the Great Pyramid? Well, this may be a vague and unsolved mystery, but still people love to know and explore this ancient wonder that loosing its strength day by day. As the Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest, it boasts amazing height that amaze people and make them to work their mind very hard just to get how those ancient people might have built such gigantic cone-shaped wonder and named them pyramid. Well, there were not such technologies like today, to build such huge attractions that possess each stone with tons of weight. Just imagine if each stone has so much of weight, how about all that made this pyramid a great success?

It is believed that the pyramid was constructed as a tomb for 4th dynasty Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu. It took some 20 years to complete its construction during the 2560 BC. Being a man made structure; the Great Pyramid of Giza is the tallest structure in the entire world for more than 3,800 years. Originally, the casing stones that formed a smooth outer surface covered this structure, and today what we could see is its original core structure. Few of the casing stones that was once covered this structure can even today is visible around the base. This makes very much sense that how tall is the Great Pyramid.

Various scientific and alternative theories have born about the construction techniques of the Great Pyramid. However, mostly it has been accepted that the construction are entirely based by moving the huge stones from an excavation, dragging, and lifting them into place. It pyramid has many things to get enthralled, but what made people more surprised is its height. To be precise, how tall is the Great Pyramid could be known as its elevation, which is standing at a base 55,000 metres and its every single side is greater than 20,000 metres in area and can be easily seen from the orbit. Due to the perfect measurement of the structure made by the ancient Egyptians, who designed the Great Pyramid, scientist and historians got completely amazed.
This pyramid is an accurately aligned structure that looks towards the northern direction with just 3/60th a degree of error. The time when Great Pyramid of Giza was built, its height was scaled exactly to 146 metres. Well, the pyramid until now has witnessed a long journey and defeated the time with harsh weather of the desert and civil war. Its old age is another general point to be noted that led to the gradual fall of the structure. Now, the pyramid is facing some 10 metres shorter and is standing at a height of 137 metres.

With the decreasing number of height day by day, the Great Pyramid of Giza is a wonderful and saluting structure that was made by the ancient Egyptians with amazingly beautiful form of artwork. It is great to see so old structure still standing with its foundation and astounding the man-kind with its beauty.
